About me
Julia Bell received her Masters Degree from the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University in Houston, TX where she was seen as Mrs. Segstrom in Sondheim’s A Little Night Music as well as scenes from Eugene Onegin (Tatyana) and Street Scene (Mrs. Maurrant). She also covered the role of Donna Anna in Mozart’s Don Giovanni. She received her undergraduate degree and Post-Graduate Diploma from the Royal College of Music in London, England. She has studied with Neumar de Kanel-Starling, Lorraine Nubar, Kathleen Kaun, Maitland Peters, Leah Frey-Rabine, and Nadine Secunde. She has performed with the Tower of London Music Festival, Opera Company of Philadelphia, Houston Grand Opera, Staatstheater Mainz, Theater Bonn and Oper Frankfurt. She also trained at the Lyric Opera Studio of Weimar where she performed the roles of Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni) and La Contessa (Le nozze di Figaro) as well as covering the role of Fiordiligi (Cosi fan tutte).
In 2015/16, Julia Bell was seen in the role of Nella in a production of Gianni Schicchi in Staatstheater Mainz, as well as, the role of Die Aufseherin in Elektra in their 2012/13 season. Ms. Bell performed concerts in Leipzig and Bamberg with the German Arthur Sullivan Society in 2015 and 2017 and was a grant recipient of the Wiesbaden Richard Wagner Verband in 2014/15.
